Morimoto Sushi and Sake Pairing Yacht Sailing Cruise is run by Classic Harbor Line located at Chelsea Piers in NYC. This Line has been around since 1999 expanding soon after with 9 vessels in four locations along the East Coast of the United States: New York, Boston, Newport and Key West specializing in ticketed events, private charters, corporate outings, weddings and celebrations.
Classic Harbor Line began its partnership with Iron Chef Morimoto in 2009 through various cruises on different vessels. Currently the Cruise runs on the elegant 1900’s styled 105 foot 2.0 schooner constructed in 2009 as a tribute to the first of its kind to win America’s Cup in 1851 making it’s first NYC operation in 2011.
Made to look classically styled the schooner is fitted with modern features: electric propulsion, exceptionally light hull constituents and carbon-fiber rigging and certified for 85 passengers.
The 2 hour Sushi and Sake Sunset cruise sails from pier 62 every monday evening now through early September. We enjoyed our sushi pairing dinner in the breeze with picturesque views of Governor’s Island, Ellis Island, Battery Park, Statue of Liberty and the Big Apple Skyline in its fullest beauty during sunset.
This Gourmet sailing cruise has an assortment of beer, wine and 4 chilled selections of Sake (Organic Junmai, Ginjo, Ozeki Hana and Awaka). Sake was paired with the sushi seasonal menu selected by Chef Morimoto of nine different fish piece samplings and a quality roll including spicy sauce (Silver Whiting, Spicy Tuna Maki, Yellowtail Hirame, Chu Toro, Medium Fatty Tuna Hamachi, Shrimp Ika, Squid Kisu). All sushi was loaded on 1 hour before and soon prepared after boarding the boat.
The Chef Morimoto Sushi and Sake Pairing Cruise experience was unforgettable, relaxing and heavenly elegant. Martell Foundation for Cancer Research held it’s 6th annual 2018 Women of Influence Awards To Benefit Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research at The Plaza Hotel, Grand Ballroom in New York City starting with the Pink carpet reception followed by the luncheon awards. My comment was “wow your finished already”? He replied with a laugh. I could see my results the next day and continued to lose sight of my lines the days following. The result is my lines are barely there they were a 4 on the scale and now a 0-1 and that’s considered very good since this means I don’t have to return to get a touch up and that makes me very happy.

The Hammock Coast has a focus of history, architectural and environmental preservation sitting in-between Charleston and Myrtle Beach neighboring Georgetown the third oldest port city in South and the towns of Garden City, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island.
Our stay was at The Inlet Sports Lodge a 4.5 star boutique 30 unit property in a sleepy neighborhood within a 20 minute ride from the Myrtle Beach International Airport where Spirit, Delta and American offer frequent arrivals and departures from the Northeast. The property includes breakfast and spacious country decorated rooms that hold a dining table, couch, and mini kitchen perfect for home cooking or heating up restaurant leftovers. The setting of the property is calm and serene where I enjoyed lounging in the pool and reading in the courtyard. The Inlet Sports Lodge is right next door to a popular restaurant and an easy drive to the Myrtle Beach Golf courses & Murrells Inlet marsh and food/entertainment nightlife.
Things to do in Murrells Inlet –
Huntington Beach State Park beautiful quiet beach where you can use the campground, walk the short trails along with birdlife; watch gators in the fresh water lakes and take a trip back in time at Atalaya castle.
Brookgreen Gardens History and Wildlife Preserve sprawled out over 9 thousand acres with sculptured landscaped gardens, horticulture, regional species zoo & aquarium along with Dinosaur exhibit, Lectures, Education, Discover classes and Special Events. Daily and weekly tickets available.
Black River Outdoors Offers guided kayaking eco-tours for bird watching, educational nature tours and fishing trips. For kayak experiences along with nature loving tour guides to explore the different water and land species. Great for children or anyone that has yet to learn or up close to critters.
