OCRFA 19th Annual Super Saturday Event in Water Mill NY was held on Saturday July 16th. this is one of the Hampton Events I have to attend situated on a beautiful property with plenty of food/drinks plus entertainment for the children along with designer shopping that is unreal with 150 participants selling accessories, skincare, fragrances, jewelry and apparel including: alice + olivia, Brooks Brothers, Club Monaco, Henri Bendel, Kenneth Cole, Kiehls, MILLY, Ralph Lauren, Robert Graham, Scoop NYC, Shoshanna, Carolee, SoulCycle, VINCE and more at deep discounts including Ralph Lauren women’s cashmere sweaters worth $227 for $5.00 and designer handbags worth up to $664.00 for $50.00 plus many other great deals too long a list to mention. The prices are so good I get most of my sweaters, shoes and handbags for the year at this one event. Now let’s look at this shopping event for what it is – a charity where celebrities give of their time, sponsors donate to the festivities and designers are generously involved donating their products to sell out supporting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund – OCRF. So far Super Saturday has brought $3.4 million through this event and growing every year.

Jill Zarin and husband Bobby Zarin hosted her 4th Annual Luxury Luncheon at her Southampton Estate to benefit the Eric Trump Foundation/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with over 40 beauty, apparel, accessories and more- Kiss USA, Ageless La Cure, Cane + Austin, Clio/Mumsie, Grande Lips, Hallow & Plank, Radha Beauty, GIGI New York, Cynthia Bailey eyewear, Poo-Pourri, GIGI New York. The guests enjoyed the pool-side cabana and lounge, Hors d’oeuvres, beauty bar, product gifting, and refreshing drinks while shopping products and trunk shows where attendees received discounts for proceeds going to benefits. There was a ton of Bravo celebrity watching including Jill’s friends from Bravo’s Housewives of New York, Atlanta, The OC and New Jersey – Ramona Singer, Kristan Taekman, Cindy Barshop, Kelly Bensimon, Cynthia Bailey, Vicki Gunvalson, Kathy Wakile and Keeping up with the Kardashians – Johnathan Cheban. The Hamptons – towns and villages of East End Long Island NY named Southampton and East Hampton. The Hamptons have grown from a sleepy backyard summer spot that held small venue weekend product events and summer vacationing. Today’s Hamptons is a different animal with lavish Mecca multi event happenings thrown by well known personalities in leased multi-million dollar properties that bring socialites, celebrities and the new household named publishers, bloggers and vloggers visiting for the day or weekend and summer property owners looking for a good time.

There are more than 50 different events hosted in any given summer weekend; Saturday being the most popular for soirees. Please read further for the bigger Hampton Happening Event reviews on the weekend of the 9th, 2016.

A Hamptons Happening 40th Anniversary Samuel Waxman Cancer 12th annual Research Foundation Benefit Feast – Held on Maria and Kenneth Fishel’s Bridgehampton Property Honoring Sandra Lee – author and television personality and breast cancer survivor, Deirdre Quin CEO of Lafayette 148 New York and Jayma Cardoso Owner of The Surf Lodge in Montauk NY. The event was a feast with over 30 different NYC and Hampton’s restaurants serving up entree’s and dessert including a top shelf, wine and beer bar. After the live auction presided by Chris Wragge and feast there was entertainment with the auction area transformed into a giant dance floor. I spotted Ramona Singer coming from the Resident Magazine cover party, Jill Zaran and her husband, socialites and other personalities all enjoying the night and guests leaving for the parking area in great moods from the festive, charitable and lavish event. The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation has awarded approximately $90 million to support the work of more than 200 researchers around the world. Revolve Summer Splash Party Event – Hailey Baldwin hosted the retailer Revolve event at the Hampton’s House with Chanel Iman and Jamie Chung among other celebrities and personalities – Olivia Culpa, Tallula and Scout, Louise Roe, Luka Sabbat, Jill & Bobby Zaran and blogger Kristina Bazan. There was Moet, top shelf drinks, catered appetizers and Tinashe and D.R.A.M performances.

The Daily & Designer Camilla Franks held a Sunset Soiree in East Hampton – With flowing caftans in an artisan realm of color in a relaxed boho atmosphere around a fire pit with food & drinks passed around was a lovely way to spend the time looking at the designs. ∞

Barneys Relocates to Chelsea NYC Flagship Store grand Opening Party 1

In March Barneys threw a Flagship Store opening Party to tell the world they have relocated to their original location in Chelsea where they had their first NYC store in 1923. The store is sleek, loft like, crisp, clean and has wonderful lighting built by Steven Harris Architects with five floors surrounding a grand spiral staircase where the fourth floor stands Freds restaurant with it’s own exclusive menu. Simon Doonan – Barneys Creative Ambassador-at-Large with his Foxylady in arm greeted the arrivals while Muffinhead and Veritee Hill were voguing for pictures.

Celebrity guests were there to support and take a look at where their going to be shopping and grabbing a delicious meal & specialty drink next such as Andy Cohen, Susanne Bartsch, Kelly Killoren Bensimon and more under the radar as well as artists and designers. One of a kind Black leather Jackets re-worked to inspire the 80’s were displayed and auctioned at Christie’s with proceeds going to benefit both White Columns and LGBT Center NYC to give back to the art world that so inspires the Barneys vision.
