Sanctuary Salon opened it’s doors in the summer of 2017. South Carolina Hammock Coast-Pawleys Island & Murrells Inlet Vacation

South Carolina is known for its shoreline of subtropical beaches, marshlike sea islands making for Coastal communities. This state ranks in the top 10 for best weather matched with affordable real estate and low crime drawing in a large retirement relocating population.

The Hammock Coast has a focus of history, architectural and environmental preservation sitting in-between Charleston and Myrtle Beach neighboring Georgetown the third oldest port city in South and the towns of Garden City, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island.

Our stay was at The Inlet Sports Lodge a 4.5 star boutique 30 unit property in a sleepy neighborhood within a 20 minute ride from the Myrtle Beach International Airport where Spirit, Delta and American offer frequent arrivals and departures from the Northeast. The property includes breakfast and spacious country decorated rooms that hold a dining table, couch, and mini kitchen perfect for home cooking or heating up restaurant leftovers. The setting of the property is calm and serene where I enjoyed lounging in the pool and reading in the courtyard. The Inlet Sports Lodge is right next door to a popular restaurant and an easy drive to the Myrtle Beach Golf courses & Murrells Inlet marsh and food/entertainment nightlife.

Things to do in Murrells Inlet –

Huntington Beach State Park beautiful quiet beach where you can use the campground, walk the short trails along with birdlife; watch gators in the fresh water lakes and take a trip back in time at Atalaya castle.

Brookgreen Gardens History and Wildlife Preserve sprawled out over 9 thousand acres with sculptured landscaped gardens, horticulture, regional species zoo & aquarium along with Dinosaur exhibit, Lectures, Education, Discover classes and Special Events. Daily and weekly tickets available.

Black River Outdoors Offers guided kayaking eco-tours for bird watching, educational nature tours and fishing trips. For kayak experiences along with nature loving tour guides to explore the different water and land species. Great for children or anyone that has yet to learn or up close to critters.

Classic Harbor Around Manhattan Intimate Brunch Cruise NYC #classicharborcruiselines

The Classic Harbor Cruise Line started out in 1994 as a sailing Excursions Co. running operation in Newport, RI primarily owned by the Scarano family that grew with more vessels, a new L.L.C named Chelsea Excursions and established in the New York Harbor in 2000.

There is spacious couch seating, bar and an Island in the middle for buffet style service. There is outdoor seating and the vessel is built low enough to fit under all 18 bridges, circumventing the entire island of Manhattan traversing The Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers.

The special treat is viewing the points of interest up close seeing details of Governors Island’s architecture and The Statue of Liberty along with the tourists on Ellis Island watching us pass by. Since the vessel holds a small capacity we enjoyed an intimate experience perfect for date nights, newlyweds, friend dates and small gatherings to explore all of what you can see of Manhattan.

The dining experience on this Brunch Cruise includes a 4 course buffet style meal starting with bagel & lox station & waffle station, fruit salad, fresh baked quiche, sausages, spiral ham paired with tiny roasted potatoes ending with desert and coffee. The brunch includes a choice of Bloody Mary or Mimosa and if you want wine, champagne, beers and spirits there is a tab bar available. Bottles of wine are also available for purchase at the ticket box on the pier before getting on the vessel.

Greg took his time with me and appears to be a perfectionist looking over and talking about my hair in detail including how to manage my hair, what to use and how to shape it during the growing out phase. Gregg gave me a precision cut, keratin treatment and my hair was treated to Boudoir Hair by Giannillo; the collection includes six products for shampooing conditioning, styling & smoothing with all products under $20.00 so you can afford to continue your Boudoir Hair beauty regimen at home.

Master colorist Liz Parsons did my single process with a a soft brown shade that was deliberately applied from the roots to half an inch down hair shaft since I already had as she put “too much highlights I’m going to make it look more NOW”. Greg works with stylist and partner Anson Gilbert and has a bevy of master colorists experienced with the specific color you want.

The results – My hair lays well, soft and manageable with absolutely no over processing. Over all my hair was understood and conquered and the cut made my hair more manageable to style at home.
