Grace’s Trattoria located at 201 East 71 street in NYC has been part of the neighborhood since 1997 and is right next door to their food store Grace’s Marketplace founded in 1985 by Grace Balducci Doria and her late husband Joe Doria and still family owned today.  Grace’s Trattoria prepares dishes from recipe’s passed down from Grace’s mother who is from Puglia and  dishes from all over Italy prepared by Executive Chef  Joe Trama. Since Grace orders food for her marketplace her restaurant gets fresh trusted ingredients and newly launched finest condiments such as olive oil etc.  My dish called Signature Tagliatelle with Maine Lobster, Morels and Spring Herbs was  fresh with huge portions of lobster on home made pasta covered with mouth watering sauce and the Roasted Rack of Colorado Lamb with Sweet Hot mustard, fingerling potatoes and root vegetables was tender and extremely tasty; I would rather eat at this authentic style restaurant then the trendy expensive ones downtown.  I am glad I know about his treasured gem worth travelling to the  the upper east side for.
