On Saturday, July 12, 2025 we had a beautiful day & night immersed in art, nature and celebration at the LongHouse Reserve’s 2025 Sold Out Summer Benefit LUMINOSITY in East Hampton honoring the incredible Vija Celmins, along with Mary Jane and Charles Brock. The event was a radiant tribute to creativity and community.
“The LongHouse benefit has raised enough to open Jack’s house to the public!” announced LongHouse Director Carrie Rebora Barratt, to resounding applause. “Thanks to the generous support of the Town of East Hampton—which voted to grant LongHouse $170,000 for critical repairs—and to a group of trustees who matched that amount, we’ve launched a capital campaign to continue this important work.” Guests were treated to a captivating video presentation by Gael Towey, offering an exclusive preview of what’s ahead for the historic residence of LongHouse founder Jack Lenor Larsen. Lending further gravitas to the vision was Paul Goldberger, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, professor, and acclaimed architecture critic for The New York Times and The New Yorker, whose insights framed the significance of preserving Larsen’s extraordinary legacy.
Strolling through the 16-acre sculpture garden at LongHouse Reserve, we took in an extraordinary curated selection of works by both renowned and emerging artists.

Cocktail hour on the lawn was pure magic — with artful appetizers, an open bar, and ethereal creatures weaving through the crowd, blurring the lines between performance and nature.

As twilight set in, guests indulged under the stars with a beautifully catered dinner by Hamptons Aristocrat, while enjoying a spirited benefit auction and the smooth sounds of live jazz.

The evening crescendoed with dancing beneath Buckminster Fuller’s iconic Fly’s Eye Dome, as the DJ carried us into the night.
